I'm so excited! A new blog to collect and organize my quilting adventures!
Today was a pretty cold day, so I decided that I should whip out my old singer sewing machine and work on a cape my daughter as been bothering me about. I wanted to make something for her to have when she plays on the computer since I keep the house so cold. Something like a snuggie but much cheaper and prettier!
I bought a fleece blankets and a cape pattern. After a little snips and cuts stitching it turned out great! Till my daughter tells me she wants a zipper in it.>:d Of course I don't have a long enough zipper at home so for now she has to wear it as is.
After I finished with the cape, I worked on my new purse.
No woman can ever have enough purses. I wanted something fabulous and big since my current purse is bulky and doesn't hold everything. ._.;
I used my fabric stash. The pattern I got from Loving Stitches it's called the Raleigh Purse.
Currently I'm using a Singer Futura which I had to fix this morning since the foot pedal died on me yesterday while I was in class.
I love my baby even if it tends to break a lot. I ended having to take a drill to the foot pedal so I can regulate the speed of the sewing machine. I wanted to get a new quilting Singer recently but I missed out on a sale which sent the prices way up! I know what your saying - why Singer but with kids going to college I have to think of the cost.
Oops! I left the plastic on the new camera I got this Christmas, I was wondering why the pictures were so fuzzy. @_@
I also bought some new fabrics when I was at class yesterday, it was on sale and I can't pass up a sale! Christmas fabric is just the cutest, not sure what I'm going to do with it but it will most likely be future quilting project.
